Visiting Residents/Intern/ Fellow (Hands On) Medical Malpractice Insurance

Visiting Residents/Intern/ Fellow (Hands On) Medical Malpractice Insurance.

You may not have started your career in healthcare yet, but that doesn’t mean you’re not at risk of being named in a malpractice suit – mistakes made while doing clinical work while in school can still get you sued. Protect your future career and your present-day finances by investing in affordable Residents' Intern/ Fellow (Hands On) Medical Malpractice Insurance.

The Doctors Insurance Agency has access to markets that offer insurance for Medical Students (foreign students training at non-US Medical schools who are rotating for a short period of time here in the United States). This policy is exclusively for a visiting medical student.

Two types of coverage available:

Observation Policy – This will cover Medical Students for Observership (includes Observation, getting history of a patient, Vital Signs, Physicals). NO invasive procedures.

· Hands-On Policy – This will cover Medical Students if they will be ASSISTING in any minor or major procedures under a Licensed Physician. If students will do the procedure on their own without a Licensed Physician, they will not be covered. This policy has a term of 60 days only.

The Doctors Insurance Agency is available to help you find the proper Visiting Medical Student coverage while you rotate in your residency or internship here in the United States.
